Orphan presents the first English version of the 1991 OVA *Mahjong Hishouden: Naki no Ryuu - Hiryuu no Shou* (*Flying Legend of Mahjong: The Calling Dragon - Soaring Dragon Chapter*). *Mahjong Hiishouden* doesn't appear on the title screen of the anime, so I've left it out of the file name. It's a remake of the second volume of the 1988 OVA, also called *Mahjong Hishouden: Naki no Ryuu*. Why was it remade so soon? No idea. But with Gainax involved, it looks very stylish. The story centers on a player known only as The Calling Dragon and his involvement in a Yakuza conflict. The mahjong isn't taken very seriously; mostly it's an excuse for the Dragon to sit around, smoking and looking cool:  The boss of the Kai gang, Kai Shouzou, wants to "acquire" the Dragon for his luck:  But the gang war takes a violent turn, with any number of people getting killed or nearly so.
