The GOG will be more polished than the Geofront one but some drawbacks: - No actual mod support, meaning that unlike with Geofront, you're just replacing the files instead of adding them all together and then on the menu picking what you want to use - No Evo movies mod (yet, someone needs to convert them from the other format to the new one) - No complete savedata to unlock the extras in the menu, the save system is different, I'm not sure what the complete savedata looks like but the NG+ save still works
Is the background music supposed to stop playing? For some reason the background music isn't on a loop like it should be, once the track is done it doesn't repeat and that is annoying, this doesn't happen on the Geofront version. I think the official release has more drawbacks when compared to the Geofront release although the GOG version does play better as in it's more stable and it does have some nice options the Geofront version doesn't, like being able to skip Team Rush animations (it's weird the Geofront version doesn't have this) and the option to control how battles start as in leader only or whole party. My issue with the Geofront version might be because my copy is outdated, still using 1.0 something.

@Shaun Actually it seems like if you use the Evo version there will be issues with looping as those are controlled by a configuration file which would need to be manually changed to work with the Evo tracks.
Well since I have no idea how to do that myself I went ahead and restored the files from the backup I made of them.
I found out the slowdown problems I was having with the Geofront version, it seems it was caused by having Vsync enabled, turning Vsync off got rid of the random slowdowns, the FPS would really struggle at random points of the game until I turned it off. This doesn't appear to be an issue with the official release though. I usually have Vsync on to prevent tearing but this game doesn't appear to have tearing issues (that I can tell) with Vsync off, the Geofront version I mean.
@Ganba - So to avoid any issue, don't use the Evo BGM Mod? The Evo Battle Voices & Higher Quality SFX Mod are ok though, right?

Those are triggered differently so it shouldn't have an issue.
Ok thanks. I'm assuming the complete save data in gog zero won't carry over to the geofront azure?

You should use the save included in that torrent.
Last question. Heard the PC/switch version is better than the ps4 ver with better graphics and stuff. This gog ver and the previous geofront pc release got the same better graphics? Or is that exclusive to the new pc versions?

Not sure what other PC version there is but this is probably the best one.
