It had been a long while since I had seen this (probably as sub). Have to say the dub is amazingly good, your work on banding hit the right balance (banding seems too prefluent in much new anime these days), as for the great quality & at such a size is amazing itself. Nice job. I really liked getting into this again especially the second half of the story I remembered a little less of. Many Thanks :):) BTW if you have not seen NANA & are wondering, just try this out,, it is a very good show.

@Dryvern thank you, there is minor timing issue(1 frames,101ms) delay on part 2 of some episode, I will make V2 fixing those, this is R2J DVD its start 1000 ms earlier, and have less 2000 ms more pause in middle and 500 ms less pause after intro song, I figure it out after encoding, cutting without encoding is not precise I had to re-encode it again, this was more like test release of quality, I never did work on DVD before, BD is easy, but DVD require ton of work, I just want to know how did I do ? is it good ? what can I do better giving the DVD sourse is bad to start with Yes I did watched NANA, I love the anime that why I work so hard on it

@TheBigThinker I am not trying to rush anything I want the V2 to be the final version I don't wanna have V3, I wanna make sure everything is perfect then I release V2, this one more like test of image quality, I never worked on DVD before, I want to make sure I did ok, then I will release V2

its dual audio from R2J(Japan DVD) the DVD has only Japanese audio, I added Synced the video with available English audio and subtitle, here is the sad part, I figure out how to sync time after I encoded the videos, cutting without re encoding is not precise, so the sub and English audio depending on the episode it could have (1 or 2 frames,50 to 200 ms) out of sync after part two, the good news since uploading this torrent I figure out to get better picture, waiting for V2 is wise choice since it will have better sync and much better picture quality, I never deal with DVD I am hoping someone get me better idea for dealing with such horrible DVD

@mmiirr thank you, for Japanese audio is %100 perfect sync, the English subtitle and audio have issue with sync, the subtitle is barely noticeable, the English audio sync if you focus too much you will notice it, do not worry in V2 it will be %100 perfect, I am using AI now, check the first episode of V2 I put in the description, the quality is drastically better, and sync %100 correct but since its AI it's encoding @ 0.2 fps it needs a lot of time to finished, so far 3 episode is finished and the result is amazing

@omoi the Japanese audio is from DVD, I believe some episode ending songs is changed but the English audio is the one with original audio but its kinda out sync(1 or 2 frames,1,2 seconds) at worst if you wait in few month there will be V2 with perfect sync and much better quality

@non_aggressive1 older upscale method such as spline or lanczos you video player or tv do that for you without performance lost, so when you upscale using those tools you only make files bigger without any benefits, but AI upscale is another story, if you google it you know how great its, yes I encode at 0.5 fps, I encode it 3 times, and I have to sync it with current fan sub and English dub that out there, yes AI upscale make huge difference, funny story I am allowed to upload to private torrent sites and all public torrent sites except for nyaa, the v2 that out there I failed in deinterlacing so I had to made another version here is new version https://mega.nz/folder/hPgVSI5I#5JBHvZMoXrjz-m7Edg-3pw compare it to all NANA you can find its done but I haven't upload it to anywhere, if you could convince them to let me upload it I will be thanks full, I am working on AI upscale of welcome to N.H.K(yokoso no N.H.K)

If you want help with scripting send me an email to shin_higeru@yahoo.com if you can upload me a piece of the vob i'll make you a pre-processing There's no point spending all that time redoing and redoing a rip when there's no decent filtering. What processor do you have? nhk youkoso there is already on other sites but can not post here because it is upscale (it is very good)

one issue i noticed is that there seems to be 2 subtitle channels, but the English one does not work, the Japanese one however IS the English one and that one works. Amazing work you did on these though.

I'm downloading your latest upscale version of NANA right now, but the torrent just disappeared from nyaa. Was there a problem with that torrent? Should I stop downloading it and wait for you to add it again? I've never watched an AI upscale. Was looking forward to comparing it to other encodes of this show.
