BTW, @Ambler, I don't wanna be an asshole but... your timing sucks. On the other hand, it's quite easy to fix it. You could read this: https://unanimated.github.io/timing-basics.htm Actually, TPP might do the trick. Rough timing is fine here. But you didn't snap to keyframes, and you didn't make lines continuous. It's very noticeable for people who know how it's supposed to look like.

Yeah, that's the one thing I want to fix more than anything with this. It's passable for people who just want to watch the thing but obviously not great. Kind of had to do a lazy solution because V1 of these subs was based on the web version. Bluray had enough changes that going through everything would have taken way too long, actually correct translations were a higher priority. Lessons learned for next time.

If no other sub groups get around to a release... Maybe? Don't want to promise it as I'm gonna be busy with a bunch of other stuff soon.

Is this a Japanese > English translation or Japanese > Chinese > English?

The former. During the first run through it all I think a couple of parts were double checked against the official Chinese subs as that was all there was at the time, any major errors from that should be fixed by now though.

Skimmed through this, lots of TL errors. Only good as speed subs, wait for another group if you want quality.

Do you have any examples of "TL errors" you supposedly found? Nobody else is going to sub this with the English BluRay release coming out in 2 weeks.

Some of those are minor but the last two lines were the main issue in that one. There's also this silly one at 14:27: HibikeCord: We can make the slogan at any time... I didn't bother watching the entire movie with these subs, but those lines aren't particularly complex Japanese, and mistakes on that level seemed pretty frequent from what I did see so I imagine the subs for the whole movie are like that. Hopefully the English BluRay translations are more accurate.

It should be noted that the video file is 1920x1080, not 1920x1036, so there are those silly black borders on this release.
