Opus or not this audio bitrate is hideous and one of the worst I’ve heard for a recent anime, and I’m using video and audio codecs. I agree with barlawl It’s clearly one of the worst quality out there, don’t fall for it.

This a request. If you ever plan to encode any batch from BD source for any anime, can you please use Moozzi2’s video and if there’s English Audio and you plan to release Dual Audio batch then usage of English and Japanese Audio source is completely your own choosing but at lease use Moozzi2’s video for it. Moozzi2 is one of the few active uploaders that uploads after polishing the graphics and enhancing them. I would encode myself but my Core-i5 takes almost 4 hours to encode a 1080p episode in very slow preset. This isn’t something that you must do, this is just a request. A lot of us out there likes enhanced version, so I am requesting on their behalf.

We are absolutely open to taking requests. Before encoding from a BD-Mux we would normally sample the best quality sources that’s available. We are definitely not opposed to using Moozzi2 or Reinforce or others out there. If you have any particular series in mind just visit us in our Discord Server and put up a request in our #request channel and provide details on what you’re looking for, eg; dual audio, particular subs, etc. We can also convert Lossless audio tracks into surround sound channels in a separate track, per request. There are many options.

OPUS makes every single lossy codec obsolete. OPUS supports supports narrow-band all the way to full-band audio, and not only that it’s super efficient at compression. You would never be able to hear the difference between MP3 V0 and OPUS 90 VBR, unless you are using a SUPER revealing audio system which would cost you thousands of dollars.
Low kbps does not correlate with low quality

I was off-put by the comments regarding audio and went on to check the discord first, later downloaded the torrent and I’m pretty satisfied with the quality. Now I’m seeding it back. If anyone is having doubts, don’t worry, it’s pretty good.

I am very picky about audio quality, but I don’t see much of a problem with the audio in this release, and I compared it to another release with supposedly better bitrate.

unfortunately, the video in this release is very bad.
for some reason, someone used a sharpening filter and it made everyline thinner so it just looks awful.
its probably also the reason why most scenes looks blurry or very washed out.
can only reccomand the Kaleido-Flax release if you want actually good video quality.
