This is a 10 bit HEVC / x265 reencode of anti-raws’ 156 gb release of Your Lie in April, combined with audio and subtitles from Kametsu’s 31.5 gb release. All audio was then encoded to AC3 and Japanese audio and English subtitles track are default.
Here are some comparison shots of my encode vs anti-raws’ encode
Obviously there are some reductions in visual quality compared to the original in all my uploads, these screenshots should help you decide whether the reduction in quality is worth my far lower file sizes.

Keep the file size differences in mind.
Music accompanies the path of the human metronome, the prodigious pianist Kousei Arima. But after the passing of his mother, Saki Arima, Kousei falls into a downward spiral, rendering him unable to hear the sound of his own piano.
Two years later, Kousei still avoids the piano, leaving behind his admirers and rivals, and lives a colorless life alongside his friends Tsubaki Sawabe and Ryouta Watari. However, everything changes when he meets a beautiful violinist, Kaori Miyazono, who stirs up his world and sets him on a journey to face music again.
Based on the manga series of the same name, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso approaches the story of Kousei’s recovery as he discovers that music is more than playing each note perfectly, and a single melody can bring in the fresh spring air of April.

Wow, excellent job!

I was having trouble telling the differences between the 2 with the first example, so I used Photoshop to highlight the “major” differences. I blended the 2 screen shots using “Difference”, then selected all of the minor spots that showed up, made a new layer, grew the selection by 1 pixel and filled it in with red so that it would be more apparent.

@blownupp thanks for doing that! It’s incredible how much quality is retained with H265 with massively lower file sizes (though her eyelid and eyebrow do seem to change shape a bit between the two versions)!

Thanks. (^_^)

@blownupp Don’t forget these screenshots are in .jpg format, not .png so they are not exactly like the video.
