FFF subs for the full English & Signs tracks, additionally with the Aniplex Retail (Full & Signs) subs. Besides the video source swap, I also went back to all primary sources and freshly encoded audio and extracted subs from the sources to rework from scratch. Thus, unfortunately not going to be patchable from the original 2016 set. > >Some of the other dual-audio releases for this series are flawed in a variety of ways: lower quality audio apparently sourced from the earlier Web-DL, main audio missing scenes and out of sync with the video, patches from damaged audio sources, lossy audio processing, inferior raw video sources as a base, and dog knows what else. For this release, no shortcuts were taken and every attempt made to ensure a quality outcome. **Season 2** >Finally got around to completing the series (with apologies for those who have been asking me about it in the meantime), primarily at the impetus of Harunatsu just releasing their excellent 720p/Hi444 BD encode using Heroine's broadcast subs... but it's been in the works for a while, that just tipped the scales. > >Video taken from a Japanese Amoeba encoder "エミ" (same encoder I used for Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry and currently one of the first and/or only decent sources for some recent JPBD releases). Japanese audio losslessly transcoded by me to FLAC from エミ's original ALAC, with English audio encoded and sync'd by me from the AOA BDMV's uploaded by Tokyosama@ADC & kakeruSMC@ADC. Since it's Aniplex it should not have required any real sync work, but the audio was actually not precisely aligned at some random points in Vol.4 of the US release (eps 19-24). Subtitles from Heroine/Harunatsu (Signs & Full) and from Aniplex .PGS from the USBD (also Signs & Full). **General, NCOP/NCED, Creditless Epilogues/Prologues, & Previews** >One issue with the audio was that both US & JP BDs include the next-episode previews as a separate file from the main episode, while FFF and Heroine both subbed the segments on their broadcast releases. I wanted to include these on the main sets, although Harunatsu and Beatrice didn't encode the segments together with the main episode (FFF did). In the case of both seasons, I appended the preview video clips to the main episode file, losslessly spliced in and sync'd the Japanese audio to both audio tracks, and edited in the subs to the appropriate locations. In season 2 it's almost the only time the lovely Miss Claudia gets any screentime... so it was something that clearly needed to be done, even if it was probably more effort than 15 seconds an episode should really have warranted. > >Both seasons' subtitle scripts adapted to Beatrice & エミ raws with no issues to speak of. However, some script edits to both series as follows: Preview and regular on-screen episode titles revised (and repositioned, when the wording made this necessary) to match the 'official' English titles on AniDB & CR. Restyled the dialog in S02 to match FFF in S01 (the font seemes a little more readable compared to what Heroine went with), and the previews in both to match the dialog. > >NCOP/NCEDs for both series taken primarily from Beatrice-Raws encode, with FFF & Harunatsu subs. The creditless prologues (S01 Ep01) & epilogues (S01 Eps 4 & 12) are dual audio--Beatrice video & Japanese audio, and I spliced in and sync'd the appropriate English audio from the main track. Subs spliced in where applicable, and separated into Full/Signs & Songs tracks where appropriate. The NCED for S02 Ep24 is a new video for the opening song from S01; video is taken from エミ's encode, using the FLAC audio and subs from FFF NCOP1.
