Amazon has 2 sets of encodes (actually 3 with HEVC but that's irrelevant). The older one is constant bitrate, lower video quality, and crappy audio. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be deprecated (or maybe used for certain devices), but sometimes you still get served it when trying to download an episode. I guess HS hasn't programmed their stuff to not rip it and try again later. It'd be pretty easy to detect since the audio codec is completely different.

It can also happen Amazon fucked it up and there is no crf=18 version on the US Amazon. In that case it's possible to just rip from the Japanese Amazon. That one should be fine, however that only works with pure Amazon shows and not Sentai. This is the first time I see it with a Sentai sub.

It should be there. I've checked before like minutes after HS uploaded the wrong version and got the CRF version. I think they literally could just retry it 10 minutes later and get the right version.
