@OTKaiba: No, you don't want to do that. The OVA is an original story related to the main character's backstory, but presented as a flashback. It begins at a period of time in the early-middle part of the story chronologically before the flashback portion. So if you're not reading the manga you're going to be lost on the content for the most part.

Apparently the mangaka meant Sleih Beggey which is Manx for "little people" or something like that... even though when they speak it it sounds like "Slay Vega". Looks weird, but if that's what was intended, meh.

well ... the first ep did not disappoint ... they did it every bit as good as they did the ova's my only criticism is of the subbing ... sleigh beggy ?!?!?!?!?!?! ... not even correct ... they are even saying "slay vega" ... sleigh beggy comes from one of the garbage scanlations I have seen how about a little bit more effort on the translating
