## Kiki's Delivery Service (Streamline Pictures)

#### This is the rare LaserDisc only copy of the Streamline Pictures Dubbed from the Ghibli Ga Ippai Collection LD Box Set, very hard to fine & over priced most of the time. I got my copy from Japan for just $200 (plus shipping) Note that its in a Box Set of 13 other LaserDisc so i payed just $15~ for it.
#### I made this rip only in the hope of it being used in the BD rip on BakaBT as the copy of the dub they have is just a AC3 2.0 at just 129 kb/s, however this is a FLAC aka Lossless rip of its Analog sound & Audio.(I can also give the PCM.. but its overkill at 1GB) Hopefully someone can re-time this audio file to the Blu-ray.
#### For now I hope you guys can enjoy this 344p LaserDisc rip. Once I get a higher player I may try & rip it once more but for now this is my best player. (I'll say my player is like 7 of 10, 10 being a X0)

Ripping a LaserDisc is mostly just playing it on a good player & have something rec it, however it get a lot harder once you add the Digital 2.0 & 5.1 Tracks. Sadly the Streamline Pictures Dubbed is only on the Analog part of the LaserDisc & its the only source we can get right now... maybe someday Digital copy will be added to a 4K Blu-ray but most likely not.
The biggest part you'll have will be at like 60mins in as LaserDisc can only play 60mins per-side, so one you get it timed up you need to edit the timing for side b part as well.
The torrent on BakaBT has the it done but is most like a much lower rip then this one. this rip is most likely Lossless as it can get on my Player.
Would not be better to upload .isos?that way we can burn it on a dvd. Mpg2 and wav muxed into mkv is not compatible and to revert back to .vob is really next to impossible.
Right now its in H.264 & FLAC at just 1GB~ & the DVD MPG2 & LPCM is at 8GB~ but they both look 99% the same. (The PCM from the DVD is 1GB on its own.) Plus I used two DVD to make this, so it be like owing a LaserDisc player that can only play one side at a time.
My previous releases that I also upload the Source file for is/was the vob muxed into a mkv, the ISO var is just any old DVD that just plays like a VHS & no menu at all. I never setup any chapters or anything, once it was a mkv I tired adding some chapters to some of them. Sadly I was never thinking of giving out the ISO as I was just going to try & do more or less lossless encodes. Plus video may look batter once encoded.
When you create .iso files all the file structure is preserved, in fact it is less difficult than ripping to mkv. Another way would be to rip using pgcdemux, a tool that outputs a full .vob compliant file.
I never rip them in a way, I just used MKVToolNix GUI to make the .vob a mkv (all it done was add all the vob parts in to one mkv) Sady I can't make ISO files of most of my previous releases as i'll need to rip the LD once more for them. I'll see what I can do, let me know if there is one in particular you like to have in DVD ISO.
Wait, that psx you got does not burn DVDs? I thought you were burning then ripping them. That way pgcdemux would copy the .vob file. No. It is not mandatory for it to be .iso, it is fine, the thing is, .mkv cannot be reverted to .vob containing mpg2 and .wav, if possible, anyone can create a custom dvd. I do not know why there are no tools that can remux back into vob. There is no need to remake the previous releases, but if would be great if next ones are .vob or .iso for compatibility reasons.
No problem, Your right that the PSX does burn DVDs but I use a DVD-RW for it & then re-formart it for a other one. Some of the older ones like Tenchi Sound File & Visualist Series: Kenichi Sonoda are on the PSX's HDD right now, so I can burn a new DVD & get a ISO as I have not deleted yet. I'm going to upload Tenchi Live 94 as mkv & iso.
On a second thought can you check pretty sammy's original file? I spotted little errors very like file corruption on video, you can see for yourself on first video (ms pretty samy opening) the error lasts a second or so, and on pretty sammy music video (last mv)
The first release, then i remuxed with the fixed lpcm track. I forgot to mention that pgcdemux can rip the vts folder on your hard drive instead of dvds. Give it a try.
I see it now, its most likely a error done as it was encoding by the PSX or as it was making the DVD.. as its both MKVs but not as bad on the Source file.
Mkvmerge cannot rip discs, so i guess that is the issue. I use pgcdemux and never had any problem. Maybe you can create an .iso image to check if the errors are solved.
I got ahold of the laserdisc as well and synced it to Blu-Ray if you wanted it synced that badly. I did not use this upload, but thanks for going through the trouble for people.
