why would you encode it to 60fps

@PannenkoekenNL Because a lot of scenes (example: falling meteorite scene) in the movie are moving and look bad because it was moving so fast.(stutter) (some people don't notice that) and I like 60fps anime in general.
I wonder why people do that also. If it is not shot natively at 60fps, no real benefit whatsoever. Often times causes more problems.
The human eye can only see 24fps anyway, so why bother?
The scene with the meteorite is intentionally filmed that way. If the animators wished to remove the camera turbulence, they most definitely would have.
>non-native 60fps
I do appreciate the uploads by everyone such as yourself, so thank you. But, professionally speaking, Shinkai is very detail oriented, and goes over the shots carefully. He intended it to look that way.

@Astral Read description?
My point is, why would you not encode to 24fps? It would reduce the file size significantly and if people wanted 60FPS+ that badly then they could use SVP.

User
@Grendel The main reason I do this because it looks smoother when I watch anime.

@Astral SVP is broken trash :), and I'm a mainly upload 60fps videos because I re-encode them for myself. I guess I can make 24fps version too, if people want that.
SVP 4 works perfectly fine here, even at 144fps via MPCHC. It's kinda redundant to do these torrents with frame interpolation, but it's your torrents.
If it's between SVP and a pre-encode, it's nice for users with worse computers to have the encode, since SVP is demanding. But users with worse computers will probably struggle to play 60fps HEVC, so this release seems to be working against itself.
Please--think of the toasters. Use H.264.
Are people competing for the shittiest release possible?
@Mites, I don't see the need for it, but, everyone has their personal preferences. You are entitled to like things the way you like them and I understand your point of view. Thank you again for the upload.
@slepinir I think the 180p encode has already won that title, but this one sure is right on its heels

@motbob Media classic player should solve that problem, so even toasters can play it (mobile phone users maybe not if they don't support h265). I'm not going to use h264 mainly because of the filesize.
@Mites, although H.265 might have more potential than H.264 in the long run, the best encoders we have right now (x264 and x265) aren't much different in efficiency.

@motbob It's true h265 requires a lot of compute power hence why it's not efficient. But I've enough compute power to do it. I tested x264 and x265 with the original movie 24,90gb: x264: 3,04gb and x265: 1,38gb.
__@CheekyKoala__: 108p surely won
>60fps anime kek
what player should i use to play h 265 file? i got the latest mpc and it can play h 265, but something seems a bit off
lmao 60 fps why the fuck do people do this shit to animation and live action films it's fucking distracting and makes the film or show look cheap as if it's some afternoon soap
@mites just do what you want bro, its your torrent anyway..
I like 60fps anime.I watch often animes in 60fps.They are looking much smoother and better.fuck these fags with shit eyes
Is the last song in english or not? I hope it's japanese.
Thanks @MITES ?, I've watched the MKVCAGE/MC release and I want to watch it again--this time your release. Do you think it would be better than MC release--both the video and audio? And DO upload your release anyway, we love 'em! ??????
@Mites can you seed this torrent please ? https://nyaa.si/view/858654 Thanks!
