Video: [[Beatrice-Raws]](https://nyaa.si/view/943070) Audio: QAAC encode of [[Beatrice-Raws]](https://nyaa.si/view/943070) (stereo). Only the last song (credits song) is spliced with its English version. Subs: Funimation and LN base. Edited, timed, typesetted. I made this release primarily for my parents, so there's no senpais, onee-chans, or untranslated first-person pronouns in this release. I apologize if that's not your preference. Feel free to make your own release using these subs as base. Anyway, I like this release way more than the official release, for lots of different reasons. I hope you do, too. Thank you for downloading. **Anybody wanting to do their own release is free to use any part of these subs without permission or credit.**

Looks interest... but thanks motbob for your hardwork :)
Hey, any chance you could separately upload the ass? Along with any fonts? Thanks :)

Sure, it's in the description now.
720p release when?
pretty good sub....Thanks.........
Thank you, motbob!
Thank you kindly.
>Started working since April God bless you for this project, keep up the good work!
Great release. I like how you handled the "boku", "watashi" bit. Did the dub handle it that way, too?

motbob (uploader)

Trusted
Yeah, the dub's where I got the basic idea.
i not surprise why this film win many awards more than those huge budget hollywood films. thanks you so much for uploading.
someone do 720p x264 under 2 gb.

motbob (uploader)

>someone do 720p x264 under 2 gb. Sit tight. Dunno if I can promise under 2GB but it'll at least be close.
Great sub & typesetting, I can see you've put a lot of work into it. Thanks!!!
So these subs are good? Been waiting for the good subs to come out because I heard that the official ones were shit.
I edited the English lyrics in, and attempted to time it correctly. Thanks for the release matbob: https://mega.nz/#!QBJnyapI!y2a5Tq_PlQJbYj0x-I9VxWd0zO3wWUAUuCrk3ZMj3zo

^For clarity, he replaced all the lyrics to the songs with the official English lyrics.
Why not FLAC? I'll download Beatrice and your subs, but still, FLAC isn't much bigger size wise.

motbob (uploader)

Trusted
'Cause FLAC has no perceptible advantage over QAAC 127. Something that adds *no* value is not even worth 1MB in extra size, let alone 260MB.
Anyone doing 4k version? is it even possible?
@Hayato: Decrypted UHD Blu-rays are still extremely rare, there's only one scene group (TERMiNAL) doing them and I'd be surprised if their next release was this. I wouldn't hold my breath for 4K.
No surround sound track muxed in? :(
Great subs! As someone whos looking to do a few subbing project of my own, could you tell me what subtitling software do you use for your typesetting?

@Mabby: It's really useful to learn how to use [mkvmerge](https://mkvtoolnix.download/downloads.html#windows), which will let you do all kinds of useful things including muxing 5.1 audio in.

motbob (uploader)

Trusted
I think [Beatrice-Raws](https://nyaa.si/view/943070) had stand-alone 5.1 audio as part of their torrent, which you can mux in (as well as muxing the stereo audio out).

motbob (uploader)

Trusted
Note that in order to access the easy-to-use version of the mkvmerge after downloading, you gotta click on mkvtoolnix-gui.exe
Wow, really great subs, definitely going to collection!
Excellent job on the subtitles, nearly perfect as far as I can tell. My only question is, why did you choose the English credits song?

motbob (uploader)

Trusted
@synsynack I wanted the final title cut to fade out to a perfectly clear screen of sky, w/o subtitles, since that's what the lyrics are about--"It's never been so clear."
wait motbob as in like the commentary highlights guy

Hey can someone help me? So I have the MKV file of the movie and I want to use the subtitles of this post. How can I do that? I am not the best with computers :\

motbob (uploader)

Trusted
@animenoob, I don't know how to explain it simply... you need to use "mkvtoolnix-gui" from https://mkvtoolnix.download/downloads.html#windows and add the subtitles + fonts to the mkv. I don't know if there's a guide that can show you how...

motbob (uploader)

Trusted
I think you could probably also install all the fonts on your computer and then open the .mkv in MPC-HC and select the subtitles file (the .ass file) with this: http://i.imgur.com/wwCAmGv.png
@motbob Thank you I did the second suggestion and its working. But I didn't install the fonts, or atleast I don't think I did. How do I install them? Sorry if this is frustrating to hear someone so dumb with computers.

motbob (uploader)

Trusted
@animenoob, I think you can just extract the fonts, highlight them all, right click, and select "install." BTW, you can watch the movie without fonts, but all the typesetting will probably look broken.
@motbob I did everything you said and its working perfectly! Thank you so much for your hard work on this sub. I'm really excited to show this anime off. Thank you.
can you upload the subtitles to subscene?
did anyone edit this sub ? we need 'senpais, onee-chans, or untranslated first-person pronouns'
Perfect, this one has the best audio.
@aryma_saga check this release: https://nyaa.si/view/943676
anyone can tell me plzzz is this hardsub or softsub ?????????

motbob (uploader)

Trusted
Somu, generally, on this site, .mkv files are softsubbed and .mp4 files are hardsubbed. This is an mkv, and it's softsubbed.
Do you mind sharing the subs file you used for the 720p version? Scaling would be off if I used the current subs file with 720p video.

motbob (uploader)

Trusted
There is no separate 720p sub file. I tried to make one and got frustrated and quit. Instead I just applied the 1080p subs to the 1080p video and downscaled afterwards.
Oh I see. I want to watch it but with the Japanese song at the end instead. Would it be possible for you to make a 720p version of that?

motbob (uploader)

Trusted
No, sorry... it's like 25 seconds of singing so it's hard to justify making a new version for just that.

motbob (uploader)

Trusted
But I've talked again and again about MKVtoolnix/MKVmerge in this thread, and one of the things that program lets you do is easily swap out audio tracks.
@motbob in the Beatrice there are 2 audio file Under Audio 5.1 folder do u know why? and which one I should use. -Thanks In advance =D

motbob (uploader)

Look at their names...
I'd like to ask about the difference between this torrent and this torrent: #942074 Why is yours only about one-fourth of the other? I'm sorry if I sound too ignorant. Also, great upload! I love the sub in general! Going to keep seeding until whenever :)

motbob (uploader)

Trusted
942074 uses the video straight from the BD. But the conventional wisdom is that the video on the BD is way bloated for watching purposes and may be reencoded and compressed without affecting the experience. Video that is straight from the BD is not really meant to be used for watching at all; rather, it's a source for people to make their own, smaller encodes to release to the public.
Thanks for the release. Could you provide the CRC or MD5 of the file, please?

motbob (uploader)

Trusted
RapidCRC is a program that can do that for you.
I need the CRC or MD5 of the original file (the file you encoded) to compare with the file that I will get at the end of the downloading to see if it was not corrupted.

motbob (uploader)

Trusted
Just FYI, if you're using torrents to download, checking CRC is not necessary since the torrent protocol has its own file integrity check. The CRC is C5AB32C0 though.
Shit happens. Thanks for the CRC.
hey man, i have download your encode and the 5.1 audio file from beatrice. how do i merge both files together without messing things up?
This is the best version of the movie on here, thank you for this. However, could you possibly upload one with the japanese credit song instead? Then this would be perfect.
WOW the subtitles are great! Did you create these subs yourself or there's a specific team you got the subs from them???
the subtitle is good, sadly don't have honorifics. otherwise will be 100/100. TQVM MTBB.
In the subs a lot of words that end in "ing" are contracted to " in' ". Is this just a preference that reads more conversationally, or is there something about the dialect of the Itomori region?

motbob (uploader)

Trusted
It's the dialect. Actually, at more than one point in the film, someone references how unusual the Itomori dialect is.

Thank god to who ever asked for CRC. Needed that right now. Thanks!
can someone who has downloaded the movie please tell me whether it has English words along with Japanese written words like here in 1st image https://ibb.co/CP0WGzs or it is just in Japanese like here in 2nd image https://ibb.co/hM9W2k3 ? also, can you please add Hindi Track in it? it was not officially dubbed in Hindi but was done unofficially by animetm dubbers - https://www.animetmdubbers.com/2017/06/kimi-no-na-wa-your-name-movie-hindi.html
@anixd what you are talking about is called typesetting, and yes the subtitles have that
Racist subtitle....
@Roman-sama fuck you nigger :)
nice color and quality, but worst devide compatibility (as any YUV coded realeases, not suitable for tv box, only for PC and mobile devides)
