Almost all of it has been reissued on both DVD and Bluray, but Madnight Gigs never made it past laserdisc. Madnight Gigs is the music video collection for Sonic Soldier Borgman. Is it supposed to be “Midnight Gigs”? It says “Madnight Gigs” on the jacket and in the video itself. Were the creators making a little pun, or were they just bad at English and didn’t know any better? I can’t tell. Borgman is one of those series that, on paper, seems like something I should be into, but I just couldn’t get into it. I watched half of the series back in the 90s, and while I don’t remember why I wasn’t into it, I also don’t remember the events of one single episode, which is not a good sign. But Borgman has a lot going for it, including a really rocking soundtrack. The OP and ED themes by the band Earthshaker have a permanent spot on my mp3 player. Its my understanding that the video for Forever included here may have some original footage not found elsewhere, but I can’t confirm.
