Orange entry: Reencode of original release.

KissAnime edited [DeadFish] into 480p but the last episode is 360p. Sorry~

Usually I can’t upload their WebRips because they add a watermark, and make the bites smaller than standard to be easier to watch online. But the videos don’t have those problems. When I saw that episode 26 wasn’t offered in 480p, I freaked out like Death the Kid from Soul Eater, but the 360p looks fine. It’s just one episode, so I hope it’s okay.

The subs by DeadFish (Thank you!) are similar to HorribleSubs. Plain black and white, easy to read. They didn’t translate the sound effects, but we can guess. It still adds this wonderful manga feeling, full of energy and motion, I love it!

KissAnime had a dub version, but the Japanese voice actors are way too amazing to be translated. They seem to have a lot of fun screaming their lungs out, with such passion that you fall in love with the anime.

480p is not HD. It’s not the biggest or the most popular, but it’s still a useful choice to have. Please pass it on, so it will live on.

Anime info at Anime-Planet: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (2012). The name has a date to differentiate it from the OVAs. It’s probably season 1.

My review:

Part 1 - Phantom Blood: The intense rivalry between JoJo and his adopted brother Dio.
Part 2 - Battle Tendency: Battles against the immortal Pillar Men.

The art kinda looks old, the colors are weird, it can get super cheesy… and getting power from breathing doesn’t seem as cool as the chi in Hunter X Hunter…

Then why the hell is it SO DAMN GOOD!!!?

Dio is probably the most ruthless villain that I have ever seen, and the best vampire. The anime is so original that there are things that I’ve never seen before, and I’ve seen a lot! It’s done with such passion that I can’t stop watching. It’s undeniably epic and done brilliantly, no matter what’s your favorite stuff, it’s worth your time.

It’s 2D but the openings are in 3D. But unlike Berserk (2016) it’s not done lazy. It looks like a manga artist hand painted and drew on figurines, as if they jumped right out of a book! They didn’t add a scribbled texture, but drew shadow lines in strategic places. It’s gorgeous, like true art, I never fast forward the openings.

When animes stories change rather radically, I tend to stop watching, but they kept me interested… it’s relentlessly good.
