We haven’t given up our plan to make a version with better video quality. In fact, we already did some work and we also have remastered video available to us. But this is a big project as every sub has to be manually adapted (timing and text) and new dialogue translated. It’s not a matter of “providing” a combo package of existing subs and new video. We cannot give a release date yet.

@H94: Thanks for the heads up! We were already planning to make a release with better video and original audio and had already acquired the remastered DVD for that purpose. Now we also have the BD version, cool! Currently, we are doing 2 other projects but we hope to start the Fables Remastered project later.
