480p is not HD. It’s not the biggest or the most popular, but it’s still a useful choice to have.

I waited almost 20 years… for this 3D shit??? This anime is the proof that upgrades aren’t always an improvement.

Even the review at YouTube couldn’t prepare me for such dull ugliness, and it was more entertaining than the anime:

I can appreciate 3D, I adored the movie “Final fantasy the spirits within”. But that 3D is worse than cut scenes from a playstation 2 (I’m playing it right now). It’s not used to enhance the visuals, like Code Geass did for mechas… It’s a lazy way to cut corners. It looks like puppets on strings, and I managed to get used to it with Ajin. But it’s even worse than the golden age recap movies. They added a scribbled texture for the shadows, trying to fool us into thinking that it’s beautifully drawn sketches like the manga, only adding insult to injury. It glitches and moves wrong during the animation, like dark sparkles, it’s so awful… it’s distracting and sickening.

It was created by a director who usually works on very girly cute stuff… He apparently doesn’t know how to use a camera, because the points of view change incoherently, as if the camera was being thrown around. The only thing done right is the fairy’s butt… But I keep wondering why is he naked, doesn’t he have a culture with clothes like even tribal people, where is his dick, how does he reproduce? So many questions unanswered!!! But we finally know what happens to Caska… and I’d be better off not knowing what this strong willed leader was turned into…

In Blade of the immortal (very good) Manji’s sister sees him kill her husband, but she can’t hate him, and it rips her mind apart. So she regresses to a little girl, always giggling all innocently. Loving her brother.

But Caska is so damaged, from seeing all her comrades be eaten as a sacrifice to demons, that she regresses to an infant. She can’t talk, she might even droll. And they turned her beautiful tanned skin white… So she lost her racial identity too.

Manji’s sister is adorable in a heart breaking way. But watching Caska is unpleasant for many reasons, and she doesn’t contribute to the anime, not even when it’s about her.

Why oh why didn’t they use the people who did Attack on Titan, the most glorious and goriest anime of this new generation, to do the sequel of one of the most brutal anime of all times!!! Berserk deserved better than this.

It’s even worse than the recap movies… Kid, if you were born yesterday, go retro and watch:

We weren’t politically correct pussies back then, and the backgrounds are hand painted, now that’s art!

The only good music is when they took the old music (that vibrated straight into your soul) and somehow mutilated it. My favorite song from the first anime is “Hirazawa Susumu - Gatsu” Listen to it at YouTube. It sounds like being gently rocked into eternal sleep by the corpse of someone we loved. But there’s no poesy like that in the new anime sequel!

There’s action… but somehow everything felt unbelievably boring and dull. The only enjoyable horror is that Christians (the religion that was forced on me) truly tortured people “for their own good”. But at some point I was so fed up with hearing the word heretic… I can’t even enjoy it for the senseless violence, I’ve seen worse… in many psychological animes. Elfen lied is super cute but damn there’s so much gore. Maybe it’s the contrast between peaceful moments and attacks that made the brutality look more intense, Berserk used to have that, but not anymore!

Should you watch it…? Unfortunately… yes… it’s still berserk… and better than average. Animes that aren’t happening in school are rare, and this one has mostly adult characters, so I can relate and enjoy it more, even if they’re not likable… If you’re a Berserk fan, that’s probably the only sequel that we’ll ever have, the gaudy technology that makes artists lazy will probably get worse, so we have to swallow that turd… But I really should have read the manga… Even silent colorless things would be better than this offense to the senses.

Am I going to watch Berserk 2017? Yes… Griffith is supposed to finally come back in that one T_T

2016 felt like a too long intro for him… So many things happened in the old berserk, with so many characters, accomplishing so many things… But now there’s no deep emotional bonds between characters… it doesn’t have a profound effect on our heart, it’s not mesmerizing.

Damn it’s dull… and so ugly… soooooo uuuuuglyyyyyyy!!!

I’ll only seed the first swarm (1.5 times) then I’ll make a torrent for “Tanaka-kun is Always Listless - Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge” and seed it 5+ times. The reviews said that an anime about a sleepy guy was dull, but I laughed at every episodes, and there’s basically no action, no gore, just kids in school… sleeping… How can berserk be even more dull!?

Maybe you’ll like it more if you only saw the ugly recap movies, and don’t know what an epic anime is supposed to be like… It’s scored 3.5, it’s still passable for an anime… but not for a Berserk sequel… it crushed my soul with disappointment instead of gruesome emotional epicness…

It’s so lame… They tried to make the edge of Guts’s sword look bigger, but it only made the blade look thinner and frail. He cut people in half because it’s massive and he’s strong, not because it’s sharp! And when he hits, his sword now sounds like a kicked trash can… That anime even sounds like the garbage that it is…
