My review: Years after the death of his childhood friend, a teen meets a girl that looks like her, with superpowers as mysterious as her past. It was awesome in a soul crushing way. I don't like ecchi, but the girls (in basically a harem) could die at any moment. One of them is super perverted, but when you think about it, she's desperate to reproduce and live on somehow. But she's not even supposed to live long enough to do give birth. Prepare to get your heart clawed out of your chest and kicked against a wall a few times. Totally worth it. It's short but not some sample to make you read the manga. They have an explanation for everything in the end. The opening has the most utterly epic song that I ever heard, and the anime doesn't disappoint that expectation. I even like the screamo opening. Recommendation: It reminds me of "Elfen Lied", they bleed all over too but with more gore, Brynhildr is censored with lights, especially for the breasts. "Gunslinger girls" also experiment on girls, giving them unusual powers. If you want to see something really messed up, try "Deadman Wonderland".
