Simply a great episode of a lost girl and a wandering former witch. Directed by Mamoru HOSODA, who went on to direct Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo (The Girl who Leapt Through Time). A must-watch for fans of Tokikake and even of good anime, as Hosoda's trademark directing shines in this very heartwarming, elegant standalone episode, which requires no knowledge of the Doremi franchise or tolerance of magic transformation sequences. It's rare to see such poignancy and painful beauty encapsulated in 22 minutes of a children's show. There's also the guest voice of Mirai Sakura by Tomoyo Harada, the original actor in the TokiKake live action movie, who also voiced Makoto's aunt in Hosoda's movie.
