guilty pleasure show? guilty pleasure show.
It’s gorgeous, it’s frantic, it’s surprisingly well-paced, it’s occasionally funny, and it’s very, very stupid. I put this together for a request.
For video, we’ve got SallySubs 720p and 1080p releases. Signs and subtitles tracks come from Sally as well, which are an edit of Eveyuu’s typesetting, using a translation sourced from Crunchyroll initially. I’ve fixed the minor problems in Sally’s release, including the missing fonts in a few episodes, and packaged in my audio as usual. The OVAs are included as well, 6 of 'em, which are mostly the same sources, though the translation is from DmonHiro instead of CR.

Thanks, this is one of the best releases out there. And thanks for the small sub improvements as well. Just a shame that DmonHiro’s OVA subs have pretty crappy signs in comparison to the main show. I’ve made some additional small changes myself to the OVAs, and S01E02 where a “draw” sign had unwanted black border. If people just want the subs, here you go.

There were still quite some fonts missing, which messed up some signs. Also updated the OP, english was getting of screen at long sentences. Here’s V2.

Can’t say I’m too big a fan of SallySubs’ TL compared to CoalGirls. I seem to prefer the dialogue and edits in CG more often than what is presented in SS. SallySubs also has incorrect character names / typos (such as Fil Nilvalen in ep 10, special 4 uses Nirvalen Fiel) and spoken TL that doesn’t match TS used (for example the word game in episode 06 or using Covenant in TS but Pledge in TL). Episode 4 even has main dialogue subtitles behind TS (10:46) and has some breaking TS formatting - none of which is broken in CG. Tested with ToishY’s v2 fonts/sub file.
This is also not okay.
Bit ironic since I don’t prefer CG’s movie release but instead RH’s Tsundere edits. That’s not to say CoalGirls isn’t without fault though. It has some typos, missing fonts (ep 7), broken font ts from using @, script resolution that needs to be fixed (OP), using incorrect spelling of Aschente, a few uses of Flugel instead of Flügel, mixed use of Kurami/Clammy instead of Chlammy, and can’t be easily synced to other releases since they kept the sponsored segments. No Game No Life just seems like a cursed series without a single good release.

Doesn’t include a fix for the OP karaoke scaling (loading bar) but covers most of the egregious problems I came across or read complaints about. Probably could do with some more QC checking though.
