**Tenshi Fansubs presents:** _Chika Gentou Gekiga: Shoujo Tsubaki_  After losing her parents, young flower selling Midori is put up by a fairground group. She is abused and forced to slavery, until the arrival of an enigmatic magician of short stature, who gives her hope for a better future. Banned in Japan for many years, it finally received a DVD release in France in 2006. However, Howard Bonsor's translation (from this DVD release) that has circulated online for many years is a questionable one. It has received a fresh TLC by KU, modern typesetting by Tom\_Servo, and a brand new karaoke translation that gives this film the most definitive release in the past decade. Sourced from a 544p rip of the 2006 French DVD, we have made a few tweaks to the video in order to match community standards that did not exist in 2006. The source .mkv file, courtesy of an anonymous cinemaggedon.net user, was IVTC'd from 25 fps (PAL) to 23.976 (NTSC), passed through a deblocking filter, and finally compressed from the original 8 GB file down to ~500 MB for release. To make sure that all copies of our translation use the exact same fonts that we picked, this release is hardsubbed.
