With that in mind, we can further find methods to avoid the drawbacks, and feedback to the x265 developers. More choices does not necessarily make life simple. We need to compare different encodes and choose the best one that is suitable for any individual project, then repeat the process whenever a crucial update is made or a better approach is found. Some of our recent releases are made in AVC, and some(like this one) previously using HEVC are then revised to AVC. This is not retrogression; this is the choice backed up by deeper research.
