First things first…

I was rather fortunate that a contact in Belgium was able to cap this from Italia 1 in SD off satellite. That is not going to be an option for future episodes; I might POSSIBLY have a second source, but that is not guaranteed. If anyone can provide transport stream rips from Italia 1’s SD satellite feed, please let me know - you can find me on IRC in #fusion-rips@irc.hoshinet.org as well as in other channels on the same network.

Someone uploaded HD TSes, but those TSes had defects which required me to fill in portions using the SD feeds, and I wasn’t sure how well the HD feed’s audio would hold up to hacking with the SD feed’s audio, so I just used the audio from the SD caps. Additionally, the SD caps were dual audio Italian/Japanese, which was the important part, while the HD rips were strictly Italian.

I think I’ve done the best I can with the sources I have.

You may notice that although I did use, as far as possible, an HD source for video, I still encoded at SD resolution. This is based on an analysis of the footage for ideal resolution. The Italian master appears to have been upscaled from 480p; therefore these encodes are 480p.
