This has been in the works for a while now, and here it is!
“Momoko” is a touching movie about a young girl who is physically and mentally disabled and the challenges she faces in being accepted by her brother, classmates, and mainstream society.
It is a movie that was and is used in Japan to help raise awareness for those with physical and mental disabilities. It is listed in the “Human Rights Library Japan” database, and is also used by Shizuoka Prefecture as well as other organizations to help raise awareness to these issues.
Anyway, it’s a nice touching movie that’s about 75 minutes long. We really hope you enjoy it and hopefully it will give you a window into how these topics are approached in Japan.
As always, see our site for more details or join the conversation with us.
Enjoy!
