It's finally here! It's been months since I began encoding this, and it took long enough for each an every disc to come up on Share, but after a grueling finishing stretch, every episode is here, along with a handful of extras.
So some details. First off, every episode is now correctly encoded in 10bit, so there a lot of V2s to download here that are \*not\* patchable versions (as they're entirely new encodes). The remaining episodes 34-43 are also only available in this batch torrent, so there's plenty of new content to grab here. Second, and this was a surprise to me, but there are brand new HD transfers of some awesome 35mm PS2 FMV sequences. A lot of this footage was used in the game Journey to Jaburo, but this seems to be extended, for a different (earlier?) PS2 game. If anyone wants to clarify what this is, do tell me! It's really nice stuff, though the color fidelity isn't what it could be, presumably due to a scan of the very same print they made back then. There are also a few video bits that were really poorly upscaled and not deinterlaced before being converted to 24fps. They're pretty shitty as is, but they're minimal, so I've just left them alone as they're extras. Regardless, it's sharp as hell, and an excellent example of some very, very late generation cel work. Additionally the clean OP and ED sequences have been included as usual, both sourced from 35mm. Sadly, they have been pretty scrubbed as well, just like the series itself. Annoyingly enough, there's a Blu-ray commercial on the disc that uses footage put together before the DNR process was applied, so you see just how grainy it was supposed to be.
One final note. As mentioned in the initial batch, I have replaced the OP audio with manually synced music from the CD version. It is the TV edit of Tobe Gundam, slightly modified as necessary to match the video. It has been used both the Japanese and English tracks.
Specs:
**Video:** H.264 10bit @ CRF17
**Audio:** LC-AAC @ Q0.5 Japanese BD/English R1 DVD
**Subtitles:** ASS English R1
Extras use FLAC because it has a minimal impact on size.
