I always, _always_ mistake the name of this album with the anime film, ‘Castle in the Sky’. I very nearly uploaded here with that name and then caught the error. There is nothing similar about them, though, except the title. Oceanlane is a (currently) four-member rock band, one of countless who got their start in Tokyo. The band began in 2001 as the duo of Hajime Takei and Kei Naoe (written ’Kay Naoe’ on the album liner notes). The band rotated through bassists and drummers as they toured. It was not until 2004 that Oceanlane settled on a permanent line-up with the addition of Takeshi Horikoshi from henrytennis (whose music I plan to upload) and Masashi Shimada. I have not heard all of Oceanlane’s albums, but _Castle in the Air_ is in the same vein with what I have heard. They’re another great Japanese rock band—not much to add to that. I’ve been busy and not able to upload one album a day, so I’ve been trying to make up for that but uploading multiple albums when I have the time. Enjoy the music as always!
