Another really strong episode, which opens with Yuu describing a possible holocaust to Doris. However instead of hearing what he actually says to her, his nightmarish scenario is described visually, with no narration. If a crappy English dubbed version of this show had been sold to the US market in the 1980s (probably with some idiotic title like "Megabot") I'm sure they would have ruined this scene by cramming it full of unnecessary narration, or just removed the whole sequence altogether. The narrative structure of a typical Gorg episode features a lot of switching back and forth between several different groups of characters. This episode is unusual in that (apart from the flashback) it really only features Yuu, Doris and Manon, and we're left to wonder about how the other characters are responding to the way all hell broke loose in the previous episode. There's also a very important plot point that is revealed in the last thing Manon says near the end of the episode. It's rather subtle, so pay attention. While I think Gorg works really well watched one episode per week (as it first aired in Japan), I'd also point out that episodes 16-18 form a mini-arc that is very enjoyable watched back to back.
