Hi. This is a a Dual-Audio Cardcaptors Release of episode 1 that I did yonks ago in 2009-ish. I don’t have the motivation to rework it right now, and the project files aren’t in a readily resumeable state due to a partitioning accident. The x264 settings and filtering is dongs, but I decided to release this anyway. Below are some of my old notes from 2009 combined with new info I typed up. It's called Extended because I included extra scenes from the jap version otherwise not in the dub. Like the rollerblade kick, the lolliy throw, and a few others. They're short, but add up. Some scenes I was able to fill in with center-channel sfx. There were also other speech scenes which I couldn't fill in. Also, because it's Dual-Audio. KWB made liek, a bazllion cuts per ep (okay, more liek 20+) to butcher it into an action flick. For once, it's nice to see the dub take precedence (I'd like to see what people make of the Japanese audio cuts :D) **No subs because it would be a bitch to retime. You are welcome to do thisz yourself.** I also extended a BGM song with album audio from a modified mono 192kps mp3 source off tpb (the only HQ "just aound the corner" I could find at the time, but now FLAC is available). I stereolized it by spreading the phases and the frequncies in Audition. It is slightly cropped from 1080p because I thought it was a good intermediate between widescreen and fullscreen. Also, encoding and editing is lagging already with xvid, so eya. NB: If you want to see the jap characters in the jap lyrics you will need a something which supports font fallback, or forcing a font onto SRTs (unstyled subtitles). Mac/Linux/Unix users should be fine, windows XP users may not be fine (depending on language settings, player/settings, etc). Windows 7 should be fine though. I kept lyrics softsub for flexibility. Still, if you see squares, the jap lyrics aren't that hard to memorise =) Made in Premiere Pro 1.5 and Audition 3. The Japanese Video/Audio is reencoded from a QTS BDrip. Source encoded on Mac using Handrake (xvid @ 92% quality), final encoded using MeGUI/x264 @ 2481 kbps. The audio is encorded using Mainconcept Reference AAC, which is approximately as good as qAAC/Quicktime. The dub, originally from a R4 VHS-DVDrip was done at "normal" quality (~130kps with 18k cutoff) because the source 224kps ac3 was a VHSrip which cuts off at ~20khz. The raw track was done at "CD" quality (~150kps with 20k cutoff) because the source FLAC cuts off at ~22khz. Yes, they are downsampled from 48k to 44.1k (internally by the encoder by default), but you'll find that is sounds accaptable-ish. The dub also has a bit of EQ to taste (bass and treble boost). some old pictures: <http://www.flickr.com/photos/junh1024/sets/72157621680635661/> Thanks to #ARM/usotsuki for the dub credits/typesetting at the end, retimed by me to better match the music. Credits go to EmeraldSky on TPC (www.pokecommunity.com/archive/index.php/t-54323-p-2.html) and O-A [\#(#omeganime@irc.rizon.net](irc://irc.rizon.net/(#omeganime)), and usotsuki for the original Japanese translation of the songs, which I modified to make it more sing-able. I am contactable on hoshinet and rizon via PM or channels. nickname is junh1024 EDIT: please seed afterwards, as I can't seed too long due to space constraints. PS: If anyone has any M2/TS from the HD broadcast version of CardCaptor Sakura (not blu-ray), I'd be intrested. Please contact me. EDIT: Someone on rizon was going to retime some subs to match this, but I have not heard back from them.
