April 21, 2011 On the road to Raimon City, Satoshi and company come across a trainer named Kenyan who challenges Satoshi to a battle. Kenyan sends out his Shimama while Satoshi sends out Mijumaru. Shimama uses Shock Wave, but Mijumaru is able to block it with his Hotachi shell. Shimama uses Flame Charge next and Mijumaru counters with Aqua Jet. Mijumaru prepares a Razor Shell attack until Shimama does a Double Kick, knocking the Hotachi out of his hand. Mijumaru runs off to try to find it, ending the battle prematurely. Satoshi and Pikachu catch up with Mijumaru who searches in a field for the Hotachi, finding something that he believes to be his Hotachi until it shocks him, with Satoshi discovering that it is a Bachuru. Next, Iris gives Mijumaru an Iapapa Berry to stand in for the Hotachi. Pikachu uses Thundershock to test it, but Mijumaru is hit by the shock. Dent then gives Mijumaru one of his serving domes, but it also does not protect Mijumaru from the shock. Dent then sends out Ishizumai and has him craft a stone Hotachi for Mijumaru. Even though it blocks Pikachu's Thundershock, it is much too heavy for Mijumaru to carry. Satoshi helps Mijumaru train to no luck, until later that night when Mijumaru decides to train on his own with the large Hotachi, until Satoshi finds him and helps. When they meet Kenyan again for the rematch, he has been powering up Shimama with a bike generator. When the match begins, Mijumaru is able to withstand the more poweful Shock Wave with the stone Hotachi until it shatters. However, training with the large shell has made Mijumaru faster, and he is able to dodge Shimama's attacks. Mijumaru and Shimama use Aqua Jet and Flame Charge against each other, with Mijumaru winning the battle. After the match, Kibago comes running up to the group, having found the real Hotachi. Mijumaru puts it back on, happy that he and the shell are reunited, before going to sleep after the exhausting battle.
