Why so aggressive bro? Also this is not an opinion, this is a fact, the upscale would be more faithful to the original material in most case.
I don't have compute power for this, an image takes me more than 10 minutes to upscale, having someone do it for everyone is great...

I can't find good comparisons but I took some people's link, basically you'll have to clean the image BW beforehand, cancel the jpeg artifacts somehow, I do that by leveling the images se-manually; otherwise any non pitch black or non stark white area will be halftoned:
