Primary video source: R1 DVD
Video: 720x540 23.976fps HEVC 10-bit CRF16
Audio: Japanese (192kbps AC3 Stereo), English (448kbps AC3 5.1)
Subtitles: English (source: Crunchyroll)
This is primarily encoded from the R1 DVDs (I don't have the R2Js and the quality difference is negligible anyway). I encoded 53-206 first because the first 52 episodes are composite which makes them a lot more annoying to filter, and I'm not sure how I want to handle them yet.
The subtitles are taken from Crunchyroll because it's less work than OCRing (it's the same translation, anyway). I ran Timing Post-Processor on them to align the subs to keyframes where feasible; otherwise the subtitles are entirely untouched.
Alternative video sources were used for:
Episodes 53 through 115: The OP was replaced with the textless from the Japanese textless DVD because the textless FUNimation got is composite. The logo was re-created in better quality by Giraffebirbyuimumei.
Episodes 53 through 63: The ED was replaced with the version from One Piece Special Edition because the textless FUNimation got is composite, and the textless on the Japanese textless DVD is *also* composite.
Episodes 169 through 206: The OP logo in "Bon Voyage!" was reverted using the Japanese textless DVD because FUNi's logo replacement on this particular OP looks atrocious.
Episode 206: The eyecatch was replaced with footage from the French DVD, the OP was replaced with the Japanese textless DVD, the ED and NEP were replaced with One Piece Special Edition, all due to video issues in the R1 DVD.
