If you're looking for the Japanese version of this show, I already made an encode of the first 10 episodes that you can find [here.](https://nyaa.si/view/2065298) Because the French dub of this show (and subsequently, the English dub based on it) contains a few edits and scenes not present in the Japanese version, I've made this separate release with only the French and English dubs. All home releases for this show that use the French masters have the same two problems: they are extremely zoomed in and cropped, and they also have really faded colors and would require shot-by-shot color correction. So I decided to re-create the French edit of the show using footage from the Japanese DVDs. For scenes that are not present in the JPN DVDs, I'll be using footage from the Portuguese DVDs, which I've color corrected to match the Japanese footage. I also had to re-create the French Opening and Ending sequences using the NCOP and NCED from the JPN DVDs. This included re-creating the French logo and remaking the credits. [Here you can see a few comparison shots](https://slow.pics/c/Udry3QyA) between the Portuguese DVDs and my color correction, as well as the opening and ending. In a way, this version is slightly more complete than the JPN DVDs, since those removed the Next and Previous episode previews, as well as the documentary section at the end, all of which are still present in the French master. _____________________________ About the English dub: This show was originally animated at 24 fps, but the French dub decided to speed-up the footage to 25 fps because France is a PAL region. This is mostly okay since the French dub uses completely new music and the voices were recorded to match this speed. Unfortunately, when the show was dubbed into English, they decided to speed the footage back down to 24 fps. This creates a couple of problems: - The first problem is that, when slowed-down to 24 fps, the opening sequence has a slightly longer runtime. So, in order to keep the song at its original pitch and tempo, they decided to make a different edit of the song that would fit this longer runtime. Unfortunately, current home releases of this show in both NTSC and PAL regions have sped-up the footage back to 25 fps, so the song is now faster and at an incorrect pitch (You can verify that the song wasn't originally meant to sound like this, because the version on the official soundtrack is at the correct pitch and tempo). If you were to slow-down the song to the correct speed, it would be longer than the opening sequence and it would keep playing through the beggining of the episode, so I decided to make a different edit of the song that matches more closely the structure of the French version and has the correct runtime. - The second problem is that, due to the audio being sped-up to 25 fps, all the voices in the English dub have a noticeable chimpmunk effect to them. While I'm sure some people don't notice this or see anything wrong with it, I find it very distracting, so I decided to pitch the audio back down while keeping its current speed. This unfortunately has the secondary effect of changing the pitch of all the background music, but I personally find that the music being slightly pitched down is way less noticeable than the voices being pitched-up. Other than that, there's a few shots that were cut from the English dub, but these were all fully dubbed and they were nice enough to include them in the DVDs as "deleted scenes", so it was very easy to splice them back into the audio track. ``` Video: 576p x265 10-bit CRF=17.5 Audio Track 1: French AC3 (Sourced from the Portuguese DVDs) Audio Track 2: English AAC Subtitle Track 1: English (Translation by Yseult Y.
