Hello.

I’m a Nyaa commenter, apparently, and my job is to sit and watch anime,
and what have I learned, that I can say about this release?

Well, firstly,
it’s quite big.
Which is excellent.

Because if it was really small,
you know microscopic,
then hardly anybody would be able read the subs at all,
which would be a tremendous shame.

Secondly…
and I’m getting quite near the end now of this analysis.

Secondly…
Why was it worth the remaining members of this group here spending 3 months of their free time on this series?

The answer is…
Well…

This release was worth such a lot of effort because…

It’s a fansub…
of Medalist.

And, as I’ve learned
by staying with my friends,
[Salchow] and their viewers,
fansubs are very important.

And even though [Salchow] were perfectly aware
that Medalist was animated by a hideous old studio
who drew like they had a cactus lodged up their backside…
they stuck with her,
and even took the time to craft this amazing fansub of her.

It’s not just a release.
It’s a fansub of a mad old show they thought the world of.

And that’s marvelous.

That’s what I think.

Great work on the script. I heard the official subs were really bad, so I’m glad you took it upon yourselves to fix it up to this degree.
That said, will there be fixes in the batch? Stuff like making honorifics consistent (heard they were taken out part way through just to spite a single person), or the meme-tier jelly donut reference a few episodes back. I would love to recommend this release to everybody without having to tack on a “but” at the end.

Yes, the batch will involve a variety of fixes and changes
And to clarify, the honorifics weren’t removed to spite a single person–that was a joke that flew over a few people’s heads. Honorifics (of the Japanese variety) will be consistent in that they will not be in the batch release at all
