Thanks, but why would you use the worse raw?

Thank you SOOO MUCH, you’re a saver!!
Any thought about using a better quality raw??

  • as others have said, ToonsHub is a better raw to use

  • text is way too close to the bottom of the screen, i would add a ~60px vertical margin

  • a few grammatical mistakes (one that comes to mind is your capital “And” at the start of some lines)

  • some of your lines are way too long and could be line-broken for better readability

  • overlapping speakers should be differentiated (if two people are speaking at once, you could move one line to the top of the screen, and have one on the bottom)

  • imo could use a better font and a slightly thicker shadow. GJM is a nice option:

Style: GJM_Main_1080p,Gandhi Sans,75,&H00FFFFFF,&H000000FF,&H00000000,&HA0000000,-1,0,0,0,100,100,0,0,1,3.6,1.5,2,225,225,60,1
Style: GJM_Overlap_1080p,Gandhi Sans,75,&H00FFFFFF,&H000000FF,&H00743E15,&HA0000000,-1,0,0,0,100,100,0,0,1,3.6,1.5,2,225,225,60,1

(careful though, this might add triple-liners since it changes the font size, so you’d have to check your longer lines)

The fansubber made a v2 with the better raws and font:

I don’t think he made this nyaa upload himself (he was posting in /a/ ).

The raw can’t be better quality because some frames “burned” when deinterlace, and TV Tokyo source can’t export well like BS11 (bitrate is lower). Fuck up TV source (but I still do for Japanese subtitles)

@Nanako and I am super grateful for your work as I’m one of those who rely on Japanese captions a lot (whether for watching or for translating).

And, of course, thank you to the /a/non who subbed the episode!
