What does the typesetter role do on your group? I’ve >10 years of fansubbing experience but I still see different people call different roles different names X) Would be interested tho

The typesetter does the signs, i.e. turning this into this. Unfortunately, it’s not a good role for people without experience in it–especially for a weekly airing anime like this one. This is all done in .ass, not photoshop/illustrator. Even in that example I just gave, there’s issues with it that I don’t have time to fix, like the colors being a bit off and the text not bending. And that’s with me having experience and still putting a good chunk of hours into it.

Not going to lie, the price list was so well done I didn’t even notice it was a mask.

I’ve done similar things on the past, it’s always worth the effort :D (though it’s mostly always personal satisfaction more than anything else)

How cool is it that we have TL notes in the torrent description instead of in the cartoon itself.

“tl notes” are cool as an appendix or complementary document imo

@Intervencion I worked with Doki. When we did Yama no Susume, Jocko TS’d a cash register that was legendary. He did a gag of the same thing as /AN8 and it looked like a wall of text.
