I'm only, what, a decade late to the party? Jokes aside, let me explain this release.
I'm not the biggest fan of the existing fansubs for this show.
I think Funimation's subtitles are overall quite good, but I wasn't a fan of some of their choices.
More importantly, I can approach subbing this series with the full context in mind.
Attack on Titan has a lot of "stock phrasing" and callbacks throughout its run, which need to fit the future context of their use.
This would've been nearly impossible for anyone subbing at the time to get entirely right.
Even so, Funimation's subtitles are solid, and I like their term translations the most, so I've used them as my base.
Every season from us will feature an original translation for the openings, and most for endings. (I quite like the Funimation ED TL)
The following episodes will be releasing weekly (sometimes faster), starting on 12th of January.
Season 4 Part 2+ are already subbed, so our current estimation is that we'll finish the series by end of the year.
Happy New Year from the TatakaeSubs team!

The video for this is interesting.
Originally I was just doing some research for a encoding-related program I'm writing,
but I actually got some pretty decent results at ~60% of the size, so decided to actually use it.
