This project is a production with the goal of the smallest video size with significant subjective compromises to image quality. This is not the hallmark of AV1, but close enough. This release should only contain changes to the video stream and audio tracks. The subtitle and attachment tracks are usually copied from the noted sources. Timings are not adjusted except in cases of extreme delay as a result of mixing sources. -

The header above links to the comparison between the JPBD, the rescaled JPBD, our SavI0r HEVC release, our larger SavI0r-Pro AV1 release, our resulting AV1, and the closest HEVC mini from OTR. Below are a few of the comparisons between the JPBD, OTR, and this release.

Statistical Image Comparison Analysis:
We measured the SSIMULACRA2 score for every frame in S01E01 and then plotted them into a histogram for some rudimentary statistical analysis. We also included a line graph showing the average score for each scene. Those can be accessed here and viewed below. Note that the scenes with excessive noise in the source never score well in SSIMULACRA2. The scenes in the ending demonstrate the extreme optimizations developed for this particular release in order to curtail bitrate. Without developing those optimizations, most of those ending scenes would be ~30mb each, resulting in a file twice as large. You can see comparisons of some of these scenes (19-22) linked above.

@amaanu01: While we can’t feasibly release the entire Gundam franchise at once, we’re not opposed to handling 1 specific series at a time. Several series have already been covered by others so feel free to recommend a new series and we might consider it. No guarantees.
