As always, it's a shame that the HD remaster is only a cropped one. But it does look a lot nicer than the DVD master (which may be the roughest out of the ones we've worked with yet), so we decided that both versions had a reason to exist. HD for how nice it looks, DVD for actually having the complete image. My preference is DVD of course, but we'll leave that up to you. Fitting the subs to 16:9 was thankfully somewhat trivial, with some signage and the karaoke being moved slightly. Timing was actually a bigger hurdle; the audio is slightly offset compared to the DVD version, and the difference in framerate (this is proper 24p, the DVD is 30p for 1-5 and VFR for the rest of the series) meant I had to manually go through and fix scene bleeds etc. Unlike with Sara, where BD and DVD were separate projects, the actual text of the subtitles is pretty much identical between the two versions, so you don't have to worry about that this time around.
