Greetings Folks. We're back again. This time we're working on Perrine Monogatari, based on En Famille by Hector Malot. Not to be confused with his other work Sans Famille, which was later adapted as Remi, Nobody's Girl. Or previously as Nobody's Boy: Remi by Tokyo Movie Shinsha. We Will be releasing them in 10 episode batches like before. Also of note : This is an RJ2 Dvd encode, we will be releasing a wide screen release based on the HD Streaming Raws as well. [A link to the HD version here](https://nyaa.si/view/1843507) This wasn't too hard encode to be honest. it's a mess of frame-rates, so that's par for the course as far a Nippon animation DVDs go. 1-5 were standard 30FPS, but suffered greatly from decimation and the rest were all VFR. So I decided to not adjust the frame-rate at all. Aside from that, it was just the standard rainbow and shake fixes. The encodes have actually been done for months now, much of the work has been primarily on the sub titles. The original fansubs by C1 have been thoroughly TLC'd and edited by Dark. His comment below will have more details. We've also included the Japanese subtitles off the DVDs for those who need them. We actually have quite the cast of characters working on this release as well, so credit where credit is due: Original Subtitles: C1 Anime DVD Encode: wisperer Retiming, TLC, Editing: Darkonius QC: Perevodildo, wowmd Special Thanks: Collectr for supplying the fansub scripts, ImAWasteOfHair for doing QC on episode 1.

This one took a while (primarily because I decided to edit the entire show first, then give it another edit while retiming it to the HD Raws), but Perrine's finally releasing. Subtitle quality was fair enough for 2007, but it did contain a bunch of wonky TL (once again, was nobody using the Japanese subs included on the DVDs?) and questionable style. We've done our best to mitigate them. Beyond that, names have been revised and standardised as much as possible (this is more relevant in the later parts of the show that are actually adapted from the novel - these episodes are actually all anime original), and I've tried to make sense of the mostly fictitious place names and geography the show features, particularly in the Bosnia/Croatia section. It's also somewhat ahistorical in points, which may be traced to the troubled production (Takahata was slated to direct this in 1977, but refused, and the new team that was put together for 1978 did not have as much time for research as was usually allotted for WMTs, which often included visiting the historical locations featured in the shows). Subs were also restyled of course (serif'd with green outlines? Comic Sans episode titles? Why, C1?), and I decided to replace C1's intense karaoke with the more standard ones Kiteseekers-Wasurenai-Licca used for their third of the show. Perrine's a great show, though with a slow start, so I hope you'll enjoy watching it.
