To avoid transcoding, EAC-3 frames were looped or discarded at the end or start of the reels with an additional loop in the first and last reel due to very noticeable drifting issues likely caused by the deterioration of the magnetic soundtrack. The entire soundtrack is affected by drifting and other issues, but fixing everything in a WEB-DL track is a waste of time that is probably better spent on the LD or the R2J DVD track.
