The CR release of this show has a nice script but it has weird technical issues-- Everything is timed to the dub audio and the script is full of linebreaks.
Also, all of the signs are hardsubbed. There are some seriously cool signs that only an official publisher would be able to do (the title cards/location names) and straight up Arial-with-stroke signs.
The script is fully retimed and lightly edited. Here’s a script comparison. The diff doesn’t include all of the strange linebreaks that were removed.
All of the Arial signs were dehardsubbed, and the important ones were recreated in ASS.
We also included the dub and a signs track if that’s what you’re into.
We’re planning to keep up with this show as long as CR’s timing is distractingly bad.

lolwat? From what I’ve been reading the official subs are dubtitles.
Glordit
lmao it does not, and the “weird technical issues” are the (dubs script) subtitles being timed to the dub.

Pretty sure there are other ways to talk than being overly aggressive. I reiterate once again my appreciation for you doing this release, keep it up!
WitchyMary
dubtitles are good though
LoliSub
dubtitles are good for illiterates though
Shadowfury
Spoiler: 99% of the users here do not know japanese and therefore are illiterates in japanese. Nothing wrong with that.

I know a little bit of Japanese and even I can tell the dubtitles are straight doodoo. In any other anime it probably wouldn’t be as unbearable (if properly synced) but in an Inio Asano series like this where the dialogue is actually kinda important and it does kill the whole thing the story was going for.
I don’t understand why anyone would defend this laziness. Sub and don’t even have the same fucking script.
