Orphan presents a new version of the 1986 sci-fi OVA *Nayuta*. Based on a three-volume manga by Sasaki Junko. Nayuta, an ordinary high-school girls, rescues a refugee child whose tiara (or ring) grants him superpowers:

When she borrows the ring, she is attacked by aliens and has to flee for her life:
