Monogatari Off and Monster Season anime adaptations have been finally confirmed for 2024, making this the perfect moment to watch/rewatch it, so I’m updating my Monogatari Collection, This new 2.5 version also has a equivalent storage-friendly, “compact” variant (79GB), that it uses lossy video/audio encoding.

ABOUT THIS PROJECT:

I did this project by collecting, syncing and muxing subtitles from multiple sources and languages (English, Spanish [both Latin and Castilian] and Brazilian Portuguese) with high-quality BDRip 1080p raws of the anime. Most of the credits goes to the fansubs, who actually translated and did (almost) all the hard work. The Audio Commentary tracks and its translations are included as well.
The Collection also features a lot of Extras: Creditless OPs/EDs, PVs, BD Scans, Recaps, Audio Dramas, etc.

V2.5 CHANGES:

• ESP: New Latin American Spanish tracks, with typesettings this time
• PT-BR: AWH subs were replaced by new ones, which used them as basis and improved the quality. This great job was made by Anipakku & Yami (only Bake, Nise and Neko Kuro were updated with their subs for now, as they’re still working on the next seasons).
• PT-BR: Removed Funimation subs, as they are bad and useless
• Audio Commentary: OPUS tracks replaced by uncompressed lossless FLAC equivalents (Complete ver. only)
• Some more minor changes and improvements

• CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER: If you are a newcomer, just avoid this one. The series weren’t meant to be seen this way. Only follow this order if you already watched it all and just want to see things from a new perspective.

WARNING FOR SPANISH SPEAKERS:

• Ñyuum’s subs are Castilian, and don’t include typesettings (translation of visual elements, like signs), because this part was in hardsub in the original fansub release.
• All the other Spanish tracks are Latin American Spanish, and they include the typesettings.

WARNING FOR ENGLISH SPEAKERS:

• If you want MTBB’s Honorifics tracks ("-kun, “-san”, “-chan”, etc.) to be played by default. set your media player’s subtitle language track preference to enm.

NOTES:

• Coalgirls: Since the Coalgirls releases have Ordered Chapters, which breaks sub sync with normal raws, I had to manually sync and merge subtitles to obtain a satisfactory result. Some people have done the same before, but I didn’t like the result, as there were still several sync errors, so I did it myself from scratch, and checked everything I could to make sure there were no errors left (IT TOOK ME A LOT OF TIME). But anyway, in case you find any error, just let me know and I’ll fix it in a future release.
  Also, in Bake I did the same to Coalgirls’ Audio Commentaries (and re-styled them), as it’s the only version that kept the “main” dialogues and typesettings.
