Probably after christmas

Sadly experienced another hardware failure (likely, at least), this time very bizarre one. At first I thought it would be boot disk, since read errors came from there. But after power cycle it seems to working. I thought maybe it was some software crash... But after 12h or so data drives are now randomly corrupting reads. After another power cycle drives are seemingly ok again, for now, but too afraid to do anything. (Ideas welcome... lol... I wanna blame memory but I have no proof.)

well confirmed to be memory failure, so I guess another RMA adventure ahead.

I've never seen someone have this level of bad luck with a NAS lol

Data should be fine if it's just RAM thats bad.

Data should be fine, there weren't any large writes during period after suspected failure time. (Which could've caused filesystem to corrupt, but that should be recovarable, too in most cases) @AwfulCaps Definitely most problems for me too, ending my years long streak with no failures, also my first RAM failure in ~30 years. Came just as I was planning to order more HDD as a Christmas gift for myself to expand storage and change to dual parity, since I thought problems were finally over, still happy that it wasn't another HDD failure. Edit: Also will try to do pokemon list finally, since I did take file lists before failure.

@sepe I've been on a similar luck streak with hardware so must be frustrating. Money money money etc etc. No data loss is always a blessing though. No rush, take your time. I appreciate it greatly :)

Ram, not HDD, but retailer is waiting new one from manufacturer, should arrive this week. (If I had known it take this long, would've just purchased new one.)
