This release includes two sub tracks: default "eng" with no honorifics (Mr. Friede), and "enm" with honorifics (Friede-san). Please set your media player preferences accordingly. Episodes with no honorifics in dialogue or typesetting have just the default "eng" track (episodes 013, 014, and 017).

Encode batch for the first arc of PM23, with miscellaneous changes in every episode. [Patch for episodes 18-25 available here.](https://mega.nz/file/bGoSUBKT#oIx4ld0CIHImqml4_blVynChQ-mKg7cWyGpFfRsnzbQ) No patch for episodes 1-17 as this is their first release.
Brief explanation of what this is, copied from the description of the first episode we released in this form:
> Outside of movies, Pocket Monsters has never gotten proper Blu-rays. The best source since Sun & Moon has been Amazon Prime JP, and for the current series it seems to be a little bit lower quality than it was for Sun & Moon and PM19. We've wondered for a while whether an encode that uses both VBR and CBR Amazon rips would present any appreciable improvement. Thanks to an anonymous benefactor, we now have access to a Vapoursynth script that merges and filters the two sources.
>
> There are no changes in the subs. If there had been, we'd be releasing this alongside an updated version of last night's release. The untouched Prime video will continue to be what we release with on day one. These encodes will be out whenever we can get them encoded, and will not supersede the releases using Prime video. We'll continue to release batches using untouched Prime video alongside encode batches.
>
> There isn't much that can be done with sources like these. These encodes add close to a gigabyte for debatable gain. [Here is a comparison to help decide whether the difference is worth it to you.](https://slow.pics/c/ZBS8sadG)

> Episodes 1-17 will be released when they're ready.
