most of what has happened so far is thematically relevant, i know. i'm saying that usually the focus of useful or good mid-series recaps or summaries are on the main plot's - in this case very broadly being about aqua finding their father & ruby becoming an idol - progression and the big character development moments for the main cast; neither the main plot nor aqua and ruby's character arcs have changed enough since the movie episode that you can go "this is how things were, and this is how much things have changed". yes, all the drama and special moments have been interesting to watch, but a recap at this point is pointless for the audience. but yeah i know every 1 cour show gets recaps or retrospective episodes these days because japan's anime industry is in the gutter, and that these recaps aren't necessarily done for the audience but for the studio's sake.
