@DmonHiro
>did you fix the audio timing issues this time
Unfortunately no, it would take a significant amount of time (besides my hobby, my main job began to take a lot of time), I had to leave a compromise option.
>jumping around for the source
Japanese publishers apparently decided to selectively approach the releases of the series of this show (inserts with fillers, New Year's releases - they decided not to release them). Therefore, the rip came out mixed.
The JPBDs are definitely worth it. In fact, they are amazing.
Unfortunately, the audio sync issues with this encode are more complex than just lagging for 500ms or similar.
I spent a few hours comparing three different episodes from the JPBDs range in this release (comparing to properly synced other releases and later the source).
My conclusion is that, alas, the async is *not* fixed. In one place it can be -200ms, half a minute later you notice the async again, tweak it, getting -500ms, only to return back and see that that -200ms is not enough now.
Long story short, initially I hoped that I could just set it to -500ms or whatever and forget about it, but no.
I am lost as to the reason behind such instability, maybe the BDs played with frames a lot?
I tried inserting another audio source (probably superior to these BDs btw) from Adosin's release https://nyaa.si/view/1611581
To my surprise, I couldn't achieve a stable offset with it too, which lead to me think that the video source of BDs is the reason.
In the end, I failed at tweaking this release to get rid of the audio async and opted for using the BDMV source from https://nyaa.si/view/1640909 and the like.
Lots of pain setting up, but the quality is just that good.
Thanks for the release in any case, and here's hoping to somebody in the future figuring out how to fix audio issues in the encode.
**TL;DR**
Audio async in this release is not stable, so can't be fixed manually.
Bite the bullet and use the Remux JPDB BDMV rips like this one https://nyaa.si/view/1640909
Or choose https://nyaa.si/view/1611581 (*don't* choose Judas, it's vastly inferior to Adosin in both video and audio quality)
PS. Since I couldn't download all raws in time I ended up watching some eps from this release, and to be completely honest, it was kinda okay.
I did tune the audio ranging from -500ms to -100ms each ep several times, never being able to get it just right, but the brain *does* get a bit used to the slight lag after a while.
Honestly, I'd imagine this even being a nonissue if somebody were to watch it on TV in the living room as a background while doing other stuff, but I guess the release isn't a place for such casual goals :D
Again, cheers and all the best, y'all.
