It could have been worst, lines and grain have been processed, but at least colors are left untouched. What you are referring to are non-filtered releases, which from my understanding, on the contrary of having benefit from a special treatment, the encoder didn’t bother, and they only went under a standard two-pass encoding, for the reason they were a request. So what seems like a loss from a point of view is gain for some other. And this is something that repeats itself in some other shows Moozzi2 is the only one to have encoded. ;)

If the “special treatment” a show gets from an encoder actively makes it look worse, not giving it that treatment would have been the better course of action, and the people requesting him to do regular two-pass encodes of those shows knew that. There is no gain here, unless you’re into making stuff look like Q-Tec’d digipaint.
Thankfully, there has been an encode available on public trackers since March 2022. It’s by QTS, and it’s solid. And of course there’s another one in the works at /m/subs.

I feel the same. When a new release from him catch my attention, I hope he didn’t get carried away too much on enhancements. When it appears it’s not the case, I silently shout in my head “LUCKY!!” ^^
Note: I can only find a 720 AAC release of Dragonar by QTS. How sad they don’t upload here anymore.
