You could just set crop metadata if black bars is all that bothers you. mpv also supports doing it during playback.

@wave Thanks, will have to investigate using that. I knew of matroska having that option (which no one supports). Didn't knew there was also cropping in h264 bitstream.

Bitstream crop is the better supported solution.

I wil upload BDRip from 0001 to 0096 with a fixes like overlayed of character cards to restore japanese text, preview of episode 10 recreated, etc, maybe you want to wait. By the way, will be at 24 fps to fit old sub and dubs.
