Now that this is released, and I’ve asked this before, are the files released prior to the anime’s release essential? As in do they provide new content that is not going to be in the anime?

Comp for the ones that care. I can’t say I’m fully satisfied with my script yet but I should be getting there in the next episode or two :)

No, those are only PVs / trailers.
They don’t provide any additional information, they are teasing the audience prior to release.
Nonetheless, they look cool, so if you have 5 minutes in your life, you can watch them.

why is the cg worse than the in-game graphics… i really hoped this would be good but its mid so far.
uninspired direction and its interesting how theyre straight up incorporating game elements in the anime
ill give it a chance for a few more eps
