You guys should really go softsub, it's kinda silly to be hardsubbing in 2022, nobody wants to steal your effects, and whether it's soft or hard it's still going to be bootlegged if people want to bootleg it.

They do this because no one in their group knows how to encode softsubs. They also think people would steal their subs. They are weaboo subbers. No one wants their trash. That is why there are so many scubs of their work.
